I recently purchased a MacBook Air only to receive it an find that.
1. The power cords and adaptors weren’t even made for North America, but in fact, were for Europe, Asia and South America. Apparently they knew about this problem, but couldn’t be bothered to let those customers who bought it, be aware of it before they shipped it, either by email or phone.
2. The tech support included, wasn’t Apple, even though Apple covers all of its products for one year, unless you purchase Apple care for two years. The support they did include was Live Tech Connect, which is a scam, and has horrible reviews all over the internet, and was caught scamming customers on several YouTube videos. They are NOT based in the US as they claim, but are based in India.
3). With the way everything is packaged, including 3rd party inferior connections, on top of the wrong ones, I doubt the computer itself is even an Apple product, and have notified Apple of this fact.
Apple does not ship third party parts. Apple does not source out its service to a third party. Apple support for a North American purchased computer, is in North America, and not India.
Sometimes, a good deal may look like a good deal, but if you know Apple, the minute you open it, you know something is wrong, and so the deal isn’t so good after all. Couldn’t complain or return it fast enough.
Reason of review: Not as described.
I didn't like: Advertised vs delivered, Final product wasnas advertised, Product was not as advertised.
